I have been contacted by Keith Daley who is researching the history of his grandfather's schooner that he believes sailed out of Gloucester. His grandfathers name was Maurice Daley. He believes the schooner was the "Theresa Grey".

The Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race (GCBSR) was founded to promote public awareness of the Chesapeake Bay's maritime heritage and encourage the preservation and improvement of the Chesapeake's natural resources.
On last Friday, 8/14, Becky and I closed the deal with the Estate of David Clarke, and we are now the proud owners of the schooner Winfield Lash. She has been hauled out and covered since last Fall in Rockland, ME, and we are in the process of commissioning her, hoping to get her sailing again and bring her down to her new homeport of Mystic, CT before it gets too late in the season.
Does anyone have any news on the fate of the schooner "Heron" that was sunk in the C & D Canal? The last I heard was that she was moved to a shed in the Essex, CT, area.
